The
International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid
Tropics (ICRISAT) is a non-profit, apolitical, international
organization that is devoted to science-based agricultural
development.
It is one of
the 15 Future Harvest Centres of Consultative Group on
International Agricultural Research.
ICRISAT
works mainly on agricultural research envisaged the
AgriBusiness Incubator in partnership with Department
of Science and Technology to facilitate enterpreneurs
through agricultural research.
DST
The
Government of India, under the aegis of Department of
Science & Technology (DST), established the National
Science & Technology Enterpreneurship Development
Board (NSTEDB). It is designed as an institutional mechanism
to help, promote, knowledge-driven and technology-intensive
enterprises.
It aims to convert the
job seekers to job generators through science and technology
intervention.

creation of competitive agri-business enterprise through technology
development and commericialization.
